How to flash firmware to Pulse with 32-bit SKR v1.4

To flash new firmware to the Pulse E-series with the 32-bit SKR v1.4 mainboard, please perform the following steps.

Note: You will need to acquire the appropriate 'firmware.bin' file for your Pulse's configurations. Please reach out to our Tech Support team if you need assistance with this.

Method 1:

  1. Connect the printer to your computer via the USB cable, then power On the printer.
  2. A pop-up window should appear (usually labeled drive "E:\"). If a pop-up window does not appear, navigate to the file explorer and open the folder for drive "E:\".
  3. Delete the existing firmware.CUR file from the folder.
  4. Download and copy the new firmware.bin file to the folder.
  5. Power Off the printer for 10 seconds, then power it back On. The firmware will now write to the SD card, which should change the file extension from .bin to .CUR if successful.
  6. Connect the printer to MatterControl and make sure it will Home successfully.

Method 2:

  1. With the printer Off, remove the micro-SD card from the mainboard (located near the USB-B port on the back of the printer).
  2. Plug the card into your computer using an adapter (not provided: micro-SD > USB-A, or micro-SD > SD adapter).
  3. Delete the existing firmware.CUR file from the micro-SD card.
  4. Download and copy the new firmware.bin file to the micro-SD card.
  5. Plug the micro-SD card back into the printer and power it On. The firmware will now write to the SD card, which should change the file extension from .bin to .CUR if successful.
  6. Connect the printer to MatterControl and make sure it will Home successfully.
