Clearing AppData in Windows

If you suspect that your instance of MatterControl is suffering from a corrupted configuration file, it may be necessary to clear the contents of your MatterControl AppData folder.

You may do this by navigating to the system folder named:  C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Local\MatterControl , and deleting all of its contents. The {user} will be your computer's username.  Alternatively you can rename this folder and MatterControl will create a new one the next time it runs. This way you can come back to it later if you need to.

Alternatively, you can access this AppData folder by clicking on the three bars [ ≡ ] in the upper-left, and selecting Settings. You will then want to navigate to Advanced > Application Storage then click on the icon to the right. This will bring up the AppData folder, which you may then proceed to delete its contents. Note: you will want to exit MatterControl to delete all of the contents.

Please note that by deleting the contents of this folder, all of your saved configurations will be permanently deleted. If you were logged in than your settings were saved to the cloud and will be restored when you log back

Once MatterControl has been restarted, you should be prompted with the normal startup procedure where you can log back in or create a new printer.
