Nylon materials in wet environments

Materials like NylonX and other standard Nylons that are all considered hygroscopic will need to be dried before they are printed regardless of the sealed packaging being intact or not.  Failing to dry the material before printing will produce undesirable results.

Results of Nylon or other Hygroscopic materials would include Stringing, Inconsistent extrusion, audible popping or hissing sound from the nozzle, and poor layer adhesion.

Once a hygroscopic material has completed printing, the material will begin to absorb moisture and saturate its self.  This is normal and will not affect the end product as all factors that could cause part degradation from moisture would happen in the printing process.
